Derby Day, 2020
Due to restrictions on gatherings and the postponement of the Kentucky Derby, the Reno Chamber Orchestra’s annual “Derby Day” has been postponed. This is the RCO’s largest fundraiser, and a major source of income for the orchestra. We will be rescheduling an event once it is safe for the community to gather.
Join music lovers for a beloved spring tradition – Derby Day! Enjoy a luncheon with mint juleps, bid on silent and live auctions, and cheer on the horse race on the big screen. It couldn’t be the Kentucky Derby without fabulous hats, and prizes will be awarded for fashionable, whimsical, and over-the-top fashion. Ladies – put on your spring dresses and hats with feathers and flowers; gentlemen – add a pop of pastel in your bow ties or pocket squares, and finish the look with a dapper hat!
Derby Day is held in the elegant Topaz Room at the Renaissance. Seating is limited – please RSVP by Tuesday, April 28, 2020.
POSTPONED – Details will be announced at a later time.
Show off your Kentucky Derby best! Every year, we’re delighted by ladies’ hats ranging from demure fascinators to oversize hats covered with feathers and flowers. The hat competition isn’t just for ladies – men look dapper with derby, bowler, boater, panama, flap hats and more!
